As
shown from the list of our most recent projects, included below, MetroCom's
customers are very diverse in their operations, with each requiring special
attention to the application of the various technologies available in order to
address their particular needs. Our
largest project to date is with the Houston Metro Light Rail System, containing
equipment on the leading edge of technology, using Fiber Optic SONET to carry
video, voice and data
services. At Newport News
Waterworks water treatment plant, MetroCom Corporation was responsible for the
installation of the entire fiber plant.
Currently, MetroCom Corporation maintains contracts with Wal-Mart Sams Club and the City of Virginia beach, installing voice, and video cabling infrastructures and Emergency Communications Systems. Additionally, we perform systems integration services for Miami Airport People Mover, providing the communications backbone which will carry video, voice and data. Some of the video will come from the moving trains. Our research shows that this has not been done before and will be a first for our industry.

When the College of William and Mary wanted to expand and upgrade their communications facilities, they came to MetroCom for help. Implementing today’s technologies of sophisticated, wired and fiber optic, networks and backbones in America’s oldest college required professional expertise. Cabling and equipment needed to be integrated into 300 year-old buildings with “National Historic” registry pedigrees.
