MetroCom was founded in 1982 as a multi-technology communication systems supplier. Incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, MetroCom has successfully completed major communications projects throughout the United States as well as design projects worldwide. To date, MetroCom has undertaken contracts as large as $4,500,000 US. In addition to managing and implementing large projects, we offer around the clock technical support to our customers. Since 1989, MetroCom has designed, furnished and installed five broadcast television stations in major Virginia and North Carolina markets. Responsibilities included studio design, transmitter and antenna design and installation. Additionally, MetroCom staff has furnished engineering expertise to agencies of the Commonwealth of Virginia for the design of ITFS transmitter and receive sites and furnishing turn-key TVRO satellite downlink facilities at various university campuses.
