Project Name:  In-building, bi-directional radio amplifier system

Location: Operations Building, Virginia Beach, VA

Description: Designed, furnished, and installed an in-building, bi-directional radio amplifier system for the City’s 800MHz trunked radio system, 800MHz analog NPSPAC radio system, as well as Verizon Wireless 800MHz mobile telephone service.  This included an 80dB gain bi-directional radio amplifier for the trunked and analog radio, a 50dB gain bi-directional amplifier for the mobile telephone service, donor antennas, distribution antennas, transmission lines, lightning suppression and grounding devices.  This system will provide radio and wireless telephone coverage throughout the building including the below grade basement.

Location: Juvenile Detention Center, Virginia Beach, VA

Description: Designed, furnished and installed an in-building, bi-directional radio amplifier system for the City’s 800MHz trunked radio system.  This included an 80dB gain bi-directional amplifier, donor antenna, distribution antennas, transmission lines, battery backup system as well as lightning suppression and grounding devices.  This system provides radio coverage within the building for detention center staff, as well as police, fire, and EMS personnel.

Project Name, Location and Description

Project Name:  800MHz NPSPAC Repeater Stack

Location: Town Center Building, Virginia Beach, VA

Description: Designed, furnished and installed a five channel, conventional 800MHz repeater stack and related components.  This included five E. F. Johnson Viking VX Universal Station repeaters, five Zetron model 38 controllers, five Zetron model 250 tone remote adapters, a dual 6dB omni directional antenna, an uninterruptible power supply, plus all associate transmission lines, lightning suppression and grounding devices.  National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) systems are being installed in metropolitan areas across the county to provide a means of radio communications for local, state, and federal agencies in mutual aid situations.
